Alyssia Anderson

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, and the heavy strain of unresolved trauma. I know what it is like to be lost in the fog of loneliness in a relationship, to feel sadness so deep it feels like it could be in your bones, and that feeling of anxiety that makes it seem like there’s no way out.

Years ago, I watched someone I love dearly go through the very same things. I saw them weighed down by trauma and perfectionism, wrestling with invisible battles. But then, something changed. They reached out to a therapist, and I had a front-row seat as I witnessed, up close, the hope that can return when someone finally feels recognized and supported. I felt this overwhelming gratitude towards this therapist and how they helped change the course of a really scary situation. I always knew I wanted to be a therapist, but that experience made it crystal clear: I wanted to help people and families the way someone helped the person I cared about most.

I truly care about my clients. I share in their sorrows, I help shoulder their burdens, and I know, deep down, that if we walk through the tough stuff together, there’s always light on the other side. Things can get better. You can find your way to the life you want again.

This is what keeps me coming back, day after day. Some days are tough, some EMDR sessions are gut-wrenching, but it is always, always worth it. Because you are worth it.
